.DON’T STOP ME NOW, I AM HAVING SUCH A GOOD TIME

It has been a while and an update was more than due, I managed to get a place and it is very central in Dublin 8. I am very happy about the accommodation, although it needs some redecorating to add my own personal twist, this is why my first stop in Dublin will be IKEA.

So on September 18th I will start this new adventure, and I am very excited and scared at the same time, since it can be a bit daunting really.  In the meantime I will update you with my recent trip to Dublin to find a place to stay. I was over in Dublin from 16th to 20th of August and after 8 months I met up with St. again, and I also saw F. again, although I met up with him for my graduation in July, when he came to visit me in Rome.

This trip was very hectic and I was scared I wouldn’t have found a place to stay at all. I managed to meet up with St. the very first day and he brought to my hotel a very nice Pecan Pie he made for me and my parents, most likely he was trying to be an arse licker to buy my parents’ liking. He achieved his goal, my mum suddenly changed her mind and thought he was a cool guy, albeit weird. Later on in the day we met up with F., who was busy with work and I was very happy to see him again! My parents already knew him for his visit in Rome and they liked him a lot. So we went around Dublin and to visit Trinity College, although the atmosphere was pretty awkward since my parents did not realize I have feelings for F., and they still think both of them are just friends, a bit naive I know.

The following days I mainly went out with F. and stayed at his place to leave some of my stuff, awaiting the big move. I was so happy to spend some time with him, things are much different when you actually are with someone, and not just on Skype. I appreciated little details and things I wouldn’t have otherwise guessed just by talking to him on Skype. Overall I had a lot of fun, though I was sorry not to be with my parents more often, it was selfish on my behalf. I promised myself to make up for it in September, since I will miss them loads!

Ok, back to talk about trivial stuff, otherwise I will break into tears, and I haven’t moved there yet! Since you know I am very fond of food, to my disappointment I only really tried out Jo’ Burger, which makes amazing delicious burgers!! Once again, I swear to make up for the lack of culinary adventures in September!

My course at TCD will start on 23rd and I will have to get everything sorted out before that, internet, bank account and such!. As soon as I have an Internet connection I will keep you posted about how I am getting on in the Emerald Island!

Love,

C.
